- 11. John McCain rips Tea Party, Fox News, calls Hillary Clinton a 'rock star'
Remember this article from 2013?
When asked about Hillary Clinton, John McCain stated:
"I think she did a fine job," he said of Clinton's performance as Secretary of State despite the scandal surrounding the Benghazi terror attack.
"She’s a rock star. She has, maybe not glamour, but certainly the aura of someone widely regarded throughout the world. I do think it is interesting that the issues where John Kerry is engaging is where Hillary Clinton did not engage in, that those decisions were left to the White House and the National Security Council," he added.
What if Hillary ran against Rand Paul in 2016:
"It’s gonna be a tough choice," he said, laughing.
He clarified his remark, saying Paul "represents a segment of the GOP, just like his father. And I think he is trying to expand that, intelligently, to make it larger."
He called Rand Paul and Ted Cruz "wacko birds."
He said Obama has "grown" in office, especially since the president has reached out to him and Sen. Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican who is often at McCain's side on issues like immigration. McCain praised Graham, saying he "is like a son to me."
Fox News is "schizophrenic."
About the TEA Party: "Many in this group didn’t come to power to get things done. They came to power to keep things from getting done," he said.
John McCain also stated: Kelly Ayotte, I am very close to. Chuck Schumer (Democrat). Carl Levin (Democrat) and I are as close as two people can be.

- 14. Sen. Jeff Sessions Slams Bill Gates for Laying off Americans in Favor of Foreign Nationals
Bill Gates, brilliant billionaire entrepreneur, who has plugged nearly $200 million into promoting the Common Core State Standards because he knows how to run America's educational system, just did the following:
He co-authored an op-ed in the New York Times calling for more visas for skilled tech workers, while at nearly the same time Microsoft fired some 18,000 people. The lay-off has also affected an unknown number of contract workers.
If there is a tech labor shortage, one would expect to see higher wages used to attract workers. That isn't what's happening. Salaries have remained flat. What is happening is that the tech giants want more foreign nationals to take those high tech jobs. Why? Cheap labor.
Sen. Jeff Sessions recently slammed Bill Gates for demanding more guest workers while Microsoft lays off Americans.
Candidate for Governor Scott Smith is another one who believes the big corporation myth about the "high tech labor shortage." He wants to bring in engineers and other high-skilled workers from other countries. See Mesa Mayor Fears Congress Won't act on Immigration.Click here to read more
- 15. It's Time to Impeach Attorney General Eric Holder
You may ask: Why not impeach Obama? Republican threats to impeach Obama are guaranteed to generate two things: 1) Democratic outrage; and 2) Democratic Cash.
- 16. Rep. Paul Gosar Calls for Impeachment of Attorney General Eric Holder
In a Washington Times article dated June 15, 2014, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona called for the impeachment of Attorney General Eric Holder stating the following:
“There’s a total disregard for the rule of law,” Rep. Paul A. Gosar, Arizona Republican, told The Washington Times. “We can’t sit idly by here as we see the Constitution and justice being defamed right and left at the whim of the attorney general.”
Mr. Gosar’s list of what he says are constitutional violations includes the Justice Department giving the Obama administration permission to ignore the requirement of notifying Congress before transferring Guantanamo Bay detainees, Mr. Holder testifying that he was not aware of Justice’s investigation of Fox News reporter James Rosen when he in fact had signed the subpoena, and Justice’s failure to prosecute Internal Revenue Service workers who targeted conservative groups for scrutiny.
It was only this month, however, after reports surfaced that the Department of Homeland Security was transporting illegal immigrants from Texas and dumping them by the busloads into his home state that he felt more aggressive congressional action should be taken against Mr. Holder.

- 17. Matt Salmon Visits U.S. Marine Sgt. Tahmooressi in Mexico
Tijuana, Mexico—Today, Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) released the following statement after visiting U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi at el Hongo II prison in Tijuana, Mexico.
"Today, I had the opportunity sit down with Sgt. Tahmooressi and discuss his treatment by prison personnel and his legal case going forward. While I’m deeply offended by some of the treatment he received at the hands of prison officials at his previous detainment facility, I’m pleased to report he is doing well and is in good spirits since being relocated to el Hongo II. I also had the opportunity to tour this facility, and I leave confident that he will be treated respectfully. I also expressed to both prison officials and U.S. consular personnel that his care going forward is of the utmost importance and that our expectations are that when Andrew comes home, he will be in good physical condition.
“In addition, Sgt. Tahmooressi and I were able to hold a private discussion regarding his case and strategy for his upcoming hearing. He seems comfortable with his new attorney and is hopeful that he will have a successful hearing where his story will be fully explained.Click here to read more
- 18. John McCain Censured by the AZGOP: Leftist Payson Roundup Practices Usual Malpractice
Conservative media across the nation immediately picked up on Saturday's major news event, and Arizona's local rags either ignore it (Payson Roundup) or twist the truth to fit their Leftist agenda. Both amount to media malpractice. If you want to read the news, distorted by the Leftist rags, read the Roundup and Arizona Republic. If you're sick of Leftist propaganda and want a breath of fresh air, read Gila Watch, Gilbert Watch, and other news sources you can find listed on the Home Page of both of those blogs. (Below Frosty Taylor's report, you will find a list of articles about the McCain censure. And to those who call this "eating our own," it isn't. It's getting out a fire hose and blasting Leftist collaborators out of our house.)
This is what happened, as accurately stated by Frosty Taylor, publisher of the MCRC News Briefs.:
The AZGOP State Committeemen strongly censured AZ Sen John McCain during their Saturday (Jan. 25,2014) meeting in Tempe when they loudly (voice vote) approved a Resolution of Censure similar to the ones passed by the Maricopa, Apache, Cochise, Gila, Mohave and Santa Cruz County Republican Committees the past two weeks.
Six out of 15 counties in McCain’s home state have censured him for playing footsies with the Democrats instead of sticking to the party platform. Maricopa is the largest county in the state with 3.942 million residents of Arizona's 6.553 million population. Maricopa has 63% of Arizona's registered Republican voters. The Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC) passed their resolution by a 1,150 to 351 precinct committeeman vote just two weeks ago (Jan 11).
Saturday morning (Jan 25) volunteers quickly gathered more than double the required 200 signatures to bring the resolution to the floor - as state committee arrived prior to the state GOP meeting, according to Timothy Schwartz, who authored the Maricopa County Resolution and headed up the movement for state passage as well. Some 55% of the 704 early morning arrivals signed the petitions as they streamed into the parking lot.
During a press conference following the meeting, Schwartz said… “Senator McCain always drafts legislation with liberal Democrats, but never drafts legislation with members of his own Party. He never criticizes liberal Democrats, yet he publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party. He makes welcomed promises to get re-elected. Once elected, his promises get quickly broken.
“For many years our citizens have attempted in vain to get the Senator’s attention. We’ve made countless phone calls, written letters, and attended town halls. But Senator McCain has ignored the people he represents. Washington’s power lure has thoroughly corrupted. But Arizona cannot be ignored any longer.”
Schwartz further stated, “Those in our Party who refuse to listen are becoming fewer every day, but those who care about the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment –well, our numbers are swelling, and, we’re become tired of “business as usual” in Washington D.C.”
He continued, “This message is vitally important. We are losing our country. Everyday a little more of what made this country the greatest nation on earth is being taken from us -- and Washington is to blame. Ironically, it seems necessary that we must remind ourselves that those who go to Washington go for us, not themselves. They go to make the voice of their constituents back home heard. Yet Senator McCain does not listen to his constituents back home, and will not even listen to his own Party. He goes to Washington with an agenda of his own. That must change.
“As each election cycle rolls around, we are constantly reminded of Senator McCain’s war record. And yes, we are mindful of that….but that was some 60 years ago!! It’s time to ask the same question the popular song does: “What have you done for me lately?”Click here to read more
- 19. Gila County Republican Party Censures Senator John McCain
The Gila County Republican Party has joined Maricopa, Mohave, Cochise, Apache, and Santa Cruz County Republican Parties in the following Censure of Senator John McCain:
When candidates for office campaign as Republicans, the electorate expects them to commit themselves to Republican principles when in office, and further;
Senator McCain was, at one time early in his career, a staunch Republican and committed to serving the interest of his Arizona constituency, and further;
Senator McCain’s recent legislative performance demonstrates a drift to left of center in favor of Democrat philosophies, and further;
Senator McCain has demonstrated greater interest in, and has repeatedly demonstrated support of Democrat interests, and less support of Republican interests, and
Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrat interests, such as amnesty, funding for Obama Care, raising the debt ceiling, and continues to support liberal judicial nominees, while avoiding any defense of the liberal assaults on the Constitution and the second amendment, and
Whereas Senator McCain’s record of failing to support Republican principles and much of his sponsored legislation has been harmful to the citizens of Arizona and the United States; and,Click here to read more
- 20. The Nuclear Option: Take Action!
by Gary Morris
Chairman, Gila County Republican Committee
On Thursday, November 21, the U.S. Senate voted to eliminate the 60 vote requirement necessary to pass legislation. This Senate “Rule” has been in place since 1789 and is often called the “Filibuster Rule.” Its purpose was to require 60 votes to end debate (filibuster) on legislation which would then allow the Bill to move to final vote for passage. Where 60 votes are not achieved, Senators can continue to debate the Bills' benefits and consequences. Where debate is allowed to continue, both transparency and public awareness is increased regarding the issues. The latest example of the public awareness was the 22 hour filibuster by Texas Senator Ted Cruz regarding Obama Care. Despite what the Democrats alleged, Senator Cruz has been proven correct.
Thursday's vote by the Senate DOES NOT affect ALL legislation. It applies only to votes on judicial (judges) nominations and cabinet appointments, etc.
The primary objective of the Rule change is to ram through judicial appointments for the “D.C. Circuit” Court and expand the number of judges for this Circuit. The reason? This is the Court that will hear any future suits or appeals regarding Obama Care. If this occurs, it will be very difficult to repeal and replace the law.
