- 1. OPEN LETTER TO SENATOR SYLVIA ALLEN - SB1416
Dear Sen. Allen,
Like you, this has been an especially stressful session for me, too. SB1416 (previously SB1313 previously SB1416 previously HB2184) is not what I planned to fight this session.
I planned to do all possible to help parents protect their children from politicians and corporations that are using and abusing them, under the guise of “assessing their academic progress.” AzMERIT by any name is an abomination brought to us by the Governor-appointed personalities on the State Board of Education (SBE). In fact, it was the SBE that brought us AIMS, PARCC, and every other useless standardized test that has literally accomplished nothing in improving student achievement in Arizona.
It was the State Board of Education (SBE) that agreed to Common Core in Jan. 2010, before it was even written. The SBE fell into lockstep to do what Governor Brewer required of them. It was also the SBE that formally approved, in June 2010, the implementation of Common Core after a Dog and Pony Show put on by Dr. William McCallum, one of the lead math writers. In fact, I didn’t find any evidence in the Minutes that the SBE reviewed the standards. Not that it mattered. The Governor wanted them, because she blindly believed the experts, plus she saw a chance at the $250 million jackpot called Race To The Top. Even the “vetting” that went on within Arizona when teachers were brought in for their “opinions” of draft standards was nothing more than a publicity stunt on the part of the Common Core Team headed by David Coleman, who is well known as the chief architect. The “fix” was in from start to finish. The SBE didn’t do any independent “vetting” of their own.
Common Core Standards didn’t take years to put into place. They were literally dumped on teachers, kids, and parents, as witnessed by the revolt that occurred all across America, including the revolt of the grassroots in Arizona who did the vetting.
I could go on with many more examples of the wasteful, incompetent, downright dangerous performance of the Governor-appointed State Board of Education and why they need less, not more, powers and duties. But that’s for another day.
You have stated that SB1416 is “the most misunderstood bill of the session with the most misinformation circulating among the grassroots organizations mostly fueled by their support of the Superintendent.”
We aren’t alone. Many Arizona senators and representatives join us in our precise understanding of the negative effects of this bill.
If SB1416 is approved, this is what the people who voted for Diane Douglas will know:Click here to read more
- 2. Why does no one seem to care?
(The following article was sent to me anonymously. It’s a timely, accurate, and thoughtful essay that needs to be read by every American.)
Are you aware that we the people are under assault in this country? Maybe not you personally, yet, but when one group of patriots in America is deprived of their freedoms guaranteed to them by the Constitution, it's a hostile invasion of all who stand for liberty. And that is what happened to the ranchers in Harney County, Oregon, in the past weeks, and in Nevada before that. There is a systematic taking of our precious liberties.
Why does no one seem to care?
Where is the media on this? Where are the folks who are focused on restoring our trust lands across the western United States? Are we to sit and watch those among us get incarcerated for ranching? For peacefully protesting the egregious treatment they have received from their own government, for years?
We know that these lands do not belong to the federal government. The federal government manages those lands for we the people under contracts that were supposed to be assigned back to the states years ago. The federal government contracts grazing leases to local ranchers. These grazing leases abut the ranches owned by private citizens of the United States. These ranchers, by and large, are good stewards of the lands they lease to use for grazing. But they are methodically being deprived of the use of the lands owned by we the people, even with legal leases to do so. In Oregon, the Burea of Land Management (BLM) is burning grazing land that is under lease to ranchers for grazing their cattle, and the BLM is burning the cattle, homes, and corrals in the process.Click here to read more

- 6. Fox News Reporter Dennis Lynch Puts His Life at Risk Standing Up for the Bundy's
I'm sure that Fox news reporter Dennis Lynch did not anticipate his actions on April 12, 2014. He suddenly realized that Clive Bundy was right. The Bundy family was right. The patriots who stood facing down the BLM thugs with AR-15s were right. No matter what the letter of the law stated, it was an egregious unjust law. And then, Mr. Lynch discovered what he was made of.
- 8. Don't Tread on Us. American Citizens are Not Your Slaves!
You want the cattle? Moooolon Labe!
What you will see here is American citizens facing AR-15s, and breaching the gate forcing the BLM to drop their weapons. These American citizens would rather die than be slaves to a tyrannical government.
- 9. The Truth About Why the BLM Wanted Cliven Bundy off the Land: Harry Reid and Money and Power
Don’t be fooled into believing that the BLM cares about a bunch of dusty, old tortoises that are supposedly endangered.
Think about it. In the name of the poor, dear tortoises, the BLM just spent millions of dollars to round up 300 of Cliven Bundy's "trespassing cattle." They managed to kill about 130 of them in the process. Why? Because, not only don't they care about a bunch of tortoises, they also don't care about a bunch of cows. Using their helicopters they ran many of them to death in 100-degree desert heat. Many of those cows were pregnant and weren't given veterinary care; many of the newborns that survived their births died from lack of nourishment and callous treatment; many cows were fat with milk, having been separated from their newborn calves. Each cow that died at the hands of the BLM thugs had a value of about $1500.
The BLM had enough money to pay thugs to intimidate, taser, and throw Americans to the ground. The BLM had enough money to hire cowboy mercenaries to help round up Cliven Bundy's cattle. The BLM had enough money to send over 80 brand new shiny trucks to Clark County. The had enough money to arm their thugs with helmet, body armor, and AR-15s.
Yet, the BLM didn't have enough money to feed the desert tortoises at the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center, so they euthanized them. See Desert Tortoise Conservation Center plan to Euthanize Hundreds of Tortoises in Nevada.
Put on your thinking cap. Does this make logical sense? Of course it doesn't! Because it isn't the truth.
In fact, the federal government doesn't care about any endangered species. If they did, they wouldn’t allow the wholesale slaughter of every "endangered" critter that gets cooked by SOLAR and chopped up by WIND.
So, what do the federal government and their corporate cronies care about?Click here to read more
